The Maine Event
The Maine Event is a first look and introduction to Thomas College for high school rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, and their families.
New Student Day
New Student Day is for incoming students for the Fall 2022. This event is for committed students and their families to meet future classmates and prepare for the next step in life: college.
Homecoming & Family Weekend
An annual fall event that welcomes alumni and families of current students to campus for a weekend of exciting on-campus programming. This year’s Homecoming & Family Weekend will be held October 14-16, 2022.
The Thomas Cup is a free event for Maine high schoolers in which teams of five students compete in science, technology, engineering, and innovation competitions for the chance to win their names on the Thomas Cup and receive scholarships worth up to $10,000 over four years.
Brunch with the President
High school seniors and prospective graduate students are invited to brunch with President Laurie G. Lachance, M.B.A. ’92.
Dirty Dog Mud Run
The Thomas College Dirty Dog Mud Run is a 5K, 15-obstacle course that loops through the woods and campus.
Mix, Mingle, and Master’s
Join Thomas College President Laurie G. Lachance M.B.A. ’92 at Rising Tide Brewing in Portland to learn about Thomas’s graduate-level offerings. Gather with Thomas alumni, top employers, and friends for a fun and interactive evening, including appetizers and a round of Rising Tide beer on us!
President’s Innovation Challenge
Thomas College undergraduate and on-campus MBA students are invited to participate in the President’s Innovation Challenge each year. In addition to learning and applying Design Thinking to a real-world professional experience, students who complete the project will earn digital badges for skills highly-sought after by employers, receive $250, and have the chance to win other prices during the final competitions.
The next challenge will launch in Fall 2022.

Educators Rising Pre-Service Teacher Conference
Thomas College’s Lunder School of Education presents the Educators Rising Pre-Service Teacher Conference. This conference is open to pre-service teachers from any Maine college and high school seniors interested in studying education.
These career and degree exploration events give high school students the opportunity to select a track and work with Thomas College professors and students to tackle real-world challenges. The day is free of charge and includes campus tours, lunch, and Thomas College swag.
